This is from a Canadian commercial for the government backed organization CDIC.
– last time a bank failed in Canada was in 1996
– 100% of lost deposits were delivered to customers within 3 weeks
Brokers are also similarly covered in Canada, though by a different organization. They too have an excellent track record and access to “lost” securities have always been restored quickly
