Here is a [picture of the back](https://imgur.com/a/DRTldXR). The mood at this conference was pretty interesting. People had a strong belief that we were about to change the world.
The Winklevoss brothers were there, which brought some media attention, but mostly the media was still mocking Bitcoin at the time. Perhaps it didn’t help that there was a ComicCon event happening simultaneously at the conference center which led to some nerd jokes.
Solo mining was still on the way out, but there were plenty of people who were still running rigs at home.
There were a couple of bitcoin ATM prototypes on display and a handful of other startup companies, such as Coinbase. Some of them made it, most disappeared along the way.
I believe the largest exchange at the time was still MtGox.
Would be incredible to come across anybody else here who was there too!

I was in the space, back in da day.
Sad and ironic that it was a conference that triggered the community divide you see today. I’m still fuzzy on whether Bitcoin is 2 or 3 communities. 1/ high toxicity maxi’s w no love for BTC magazine or their annual conference. 2/ let’s call this low toxicity maxi’s who support the conference and invited speakers but will only hold Bitcoin. 3/ folks that hold Bitcoin, believe in Bitcoin but refuse to succumb to someone else’s unsolicited investment advice…. I never understood why a movement such as DeFI, born out of frustration with government and corporate overreach would support such a narrative. And to give up your heritage as a Cryptography solution is sad. I get why someone would prefer to distance themselves from a much larger and frankly less mature market… but ask 10 random people to name a few Cryptocurrencies, 9/10 will respond Bitcoin. Therefore Bitcoin will remain the face of Crypto until other coins reach Bitcoin status. Convincing people inside of this bubble that you are no longer Crypto does not make you any less Crypto IRL!
