Do you think it’s possible that perhaps this guy learned a lot in 11 years? Just a thought
Would love to hear what your opinions of Bitcoin were in 2011
Believe it or not there was a time when an old backup of a Bitcoin Core wallet could indeed be missing funds, and that did actually happen to some people.
If you’re not aware of how that could happen then laughing at this OG is misguided. Similarly, if you didn’t realize that the reason his backup worked is *not* the reason your backup would work today and that he got a little lucky, laughing at this OG is misguided.
Someone didn’t know how bitcoin worked before people wrote a thousand books and made a million videos on how bitcoin works? How could that be possible?
Hahahahahahahahhahaha this guy knows so much less of bitcoin than me Chad. Oh uh, 11 years ago
What’s the problem? How’s that different from having your Trezor device broken buying a new one and insert your seed again to gain access to it again? It’s not the BTC were physically stored on the crashed drive. As far as I understand they are always on the Blockchain your wallets is just the lock that allows you to access those specific coins in your custody.
And it was on this day, a criminal was born.
simple rescan of the wallet. maybe checked block explorer which was harder to find a decade ago
Good grief. Somebody needs to read the whitepaper.
Is this OC? This will end up on coin news, surely.
