You can use the Bolt card in a custodial manner using CoinCorner with KYC or you can use the Bolt card in a self-custodial manner using your own node, without using CoinCorner and without any KYC. The choice is yours.

Btcsessions had a good video on how to use it without CoinCorner app. Basically he funded a lightning link through Ln cash and then took that link and wrote it to the card with NFC tools

What’s with this whole KYC thing everywhere. We need a better way to approach decentralization and most import, anonymity.

As mentioned, the Bolt Card can be set-up and used non-custodially and without KYC as we designed it to be interoperable with industry standard protocols, namely Lightning and LNURL. We can’t really give instructions on how to set-up non-custodially as it involves external entities that are going to be evolving all the time and over which we have no control. That said, we’ve previously highlighted []( and have details of this and links to external sources on our website at the end of [this article](

The BTCSessions video that has been mentioned gives some instruction on non-custodial set up and the [****]( website (not created by us) also gives info on non-custodial solutions and links to github etc.

Hope this helps. Adam @ CoinCorner

    KYC is a non-starter.

Redo your business model or join the others in the dumpster.
