If you don’t want sleepless nights tuck you bitcoin up in its own little wallet at night 😉

Exchanges make the market broader. It’s hard enough getting new people to buy in, exchanges made that easier. Not everyone wants to store $50k of anything, cash, PM, or digital assets, anywhere in their house.

Home owners or renter’s insurance won’t cover a digital wallets value outside of the cost of hardware.

The problem with the exchange meltdown threatens the very viability and faith of the technology. Trust me, less people today will ever trust cryptocurrencies than yesterday.

The market of buyers is shrinking, and that’s not good, but I guess all we can do is laugh it off…

The extra X% per year some companies promise to pay you back is not worth giving up 100% control of your own money.

Its unhealthy for crypto when all you can do is hold your money in a cold storage. Lol. Money needs to be able to be exchanged easily and quickly.

If Bitcoin value tanks due to a lack of market then you keeping your stash at home won’t mean shit.

I think this cartoonist missed what makes cartoons clever and interesting. Why does the blue guy assume the yellow guy trust this industry? Yellow guy hasn’t done anything to even suggest such a thing. In fact, this would’ve been better with only 4 panels and without the interaction w/ the rando blue guy.

Posts like these are just so so stupid. What do you think the value of your cold storage coins will go to, if the entire ecosystem behind it burns to the ground? Yes, your coins will your coins but your coins will be worth zero. They’ll be equivalent to a .txt file on a crappy usb.

When cryptos value drop like basically every day, so do your bitcoins in your cold storage, you understand that, right ? You’re losing money every day.

The irony is that Bitcoin only has value if it is exchangeable against fiat.

Hilarious and comforting until someone breaks into your house and steals your wallet! Cold storage is not a straightforward solution even though it is one of the current best solutions available on the market!

Investors are weird. Most people go to buy the thing they want and are happy to see it on sale. Investors see the price come down and suddenly second-guess the wisdom of their decisions. Like something has fundamentally changed with the product between being excited to buy (at $50k) and convinced you have to dump it at a loss (at $20k)?

Econ 101 flashbacks all: What is the difference between price and value?

Cold storage is a great self-custody solution but the bigger problem is all your assets will still be worthless because all the centralized platforms that collapse will drive their value to nothing. How far we’ve come, yet how little we’ve learned.

If you don’t want to keep your cold storage at home. Get a safety deposit box at the bank. Only cost about 70 bucks if you’re not a preferred customer.

If every single coin was in cold storage the price of BTC would not be as high. The exchanges are the ones pumping the coins.

Thought I’d ask here – I store my coins in the Exodus ‘warm wallet’. Is this a good long term storage or should I buy a cold wallet? Asides from passwords/accounts being hacked, would the destruction of exodus mean my coins are gone?
    Thanks in advance.
