After China did that, I bought an Antminer S19 for $10k. It was only able to mine about 15 million sats, it increased my power bill by about $1,500, and I ended up selling it (because the hash rate is so damn high) for $2k recently.

Disaster. I wish the other miners in the space better luck than I had.

    You can‘t ban Bitcoin.
You can ban yourself from Bitcoin.

Well to be expected. Hashrate will continue to increase over longterm as we get more and more efficient miners.

BTC price and bans on mining have an impact in short term.

With so much hash rate, how are the miners still profitable? 6.25 BTC is spread pretty thin now.

And that’s why mining companies will continue to go out of business. Too much hashrate, too many people chasing profits, too low Bitcoin price. The mining “industry” will be decimated.

How many times they will ban BTC? Chinese government is ridiculous with this. Obviously they did it so they can buy BTC cheap.
