    What does it mean that it starts at that one particular spot?

    Is it the miner who won the 10-minute Proof Of Work reward and that’s the random spot on the network (and planet) where the ledger was first updated?

    EDIT: Can’t quite make out if that first dot is the one in North America or the one in Europe.

    It’s a beautiful sight. Personally, as a mainnet programmer, a protocol is needed to force only one node to be active per public IP. Then the network’s resistance to 51% attacks will also be incredibly strong. At the same time, this video will be more beautiful too.
