Posturing.
Literally don’t know how this is constitutional, is bet it gets overturned pretty quickly in court.
Edit: Prevents the offical use of Bitcoin as money, which is already the case because only the U.S. Treasury had the right to mint and coin currency.
Doesn’t prevent the ownership of Bitcoin at all. I don’t really understand why this is an issue unless you think Bitcoin is somehow going to replace a government backed money in the United States; would be a dream come true, but it’s just a dream.
